Recently we caught up with our newest team member, Holly Williams, receptionist for Michael Benjamin & Associates to learn more about her career, highlights, achievements, and role at Michael Benjamin & Associates.

Tell us a little about yourself and your role at Michael Benjamin & Associates?

I have worked in customer service roles for over six years, starting at a café business, Soul Press in 2016 after doing year 10 work experience there. I worked part-time on the weekends and public holidays while I was still at school then started their full time once I completed year 12 VCE at Parkdale Secondary Collage.

What I love most about customer service is getting to know regular customers/clients, especially in the COVID times I was lucky enough to still be working and being able to socialise with members of the community as well as my work colleagues. In my role as receptionist at Michael Benjamin & Associates I’m able to utilise my customer service and administration skills to support our clients and our amazing team of lawyers.

What do you enjoy most about working at Michael Benjamin & Associates so far?

I have lived and grown up in Dingley Village my whole life, so I feel very fortunate to have such a great job so close to home. Dingley is a very close-knit community and it’s like being in a small town rather than a suburb of Melbourne. It’s always nice to see familiar faces come into the office.

I’m also very fortunate to work in a supportive friendly environment and have the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people from different industries and cultures as we work across many different areas of law.

What has been a highlight/achievement of your career so far?

My highlight is actually securing a job at a law firm at such a young age. I have always been interested in law as I studied legal studies in year 12 and had planned to always start a career in a field like law. I’m grateful to be given this opportunity to work at such an established law firm.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to spend time with my family, friends and my dogs. I also like going camping and water skiing.
