Voting for the 2021 Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) Council Elections is now open.

Representing more than 19,000 members, LIV is the peak body for the Victorian legal profession with “our core purpose is to foster the rule of law and to promote improvements and developments in the law as it affects the Victorian community.” (LIV Annual report 2020)

At Michael Benjamin & Associates we are pleased to announce, our Principal, David Littlejohn, has been nominated for election to the Council of the Law Institute of Victoria’s (LIV) in the category of Suburban Practitioner.

David is passionate about representing the Victorian legal profession that he has been actively part of for 21 years. To become a member of the LIV Council provides David the opportunity to actively shape the LIV’s position on important legal and community issues and steer the LIV’s advocacy projects.

As an LIV Councillor, David would be responsible for representing the LIV and LIV members interests, along with contributing to the continued development and improvement of our vibrant profession. Voting for the LIV Council election is now open and many LIV member categories are eligible to vote.

How to Vote for David

The LIV received 19 successful nominations and voting commenced on Monday 25 October. If you’re a full practicing member of the LIV, David would love your vote.

Voting closes at 17.00 (AEDT) on Wednesday 10 November 2021.
